Description

The seafood clerk supports the seafood department by preparing, packaging, and maintaining fresh seafood products, including live seafood, while ensuring quality, cleanliness, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare seafood products for display and sale
  
• Pack, wrap, label, and stock seafood items
  
• Handle and maintain live seafood tanks and products
  
• Receive, unload, and verify product quality and freshness
  
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked displays
  
• Assist customers with inquiries and product selection

Requirements

• Knowledge of seafood handling, cuts, and live seafood is an asset
  
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  
• Friendly, customer service oriented and team player
  
• Able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
  
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs
  
• Comfortable working with live seafood
  
• Flexible availability, including weekends
  
• Second language is an asset
