The meat clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and stocking meat products while ensuring quality, cleanliness, and well-presented displays. This role includes receiving shipments and assisting customers while working in cooler environments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack, wrap, label, and stock meat products for sale
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming deliveries
- Ensure product quality and proper display standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department
- Assist customers with inquiries and product selection
Requirements
- Knowledge of various cuts of meat is an asset
- Friendly, customer service oriented and team player
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work in cooler environments as needed
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Second language is an asset
Cutter
Description
The meat cutter is responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products while ensuring quality, food safety, and well-presented displays. This role also supports inventory control and assists customers while working in cooler environments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cutting, trimming, and portioning of meat products
- Pack, wrap, label, and stock meats for sale
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming deliveries
- Monitor product quality and ensure proper display standards
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department
- Assist customers with inquiries and product selection
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of meat cutting experience required
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Friendly, customer service oriented and team player
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Leadership skills are an asset
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work in cooler environments as needed
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Second language is an asset
