Description

The meat clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and stocking meat products while ensuring quality, cleanliness, and well-presented displays. This role includes receiving shipments and assisting customers while working in cooler environments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack, wrap, label, and stock meat products for sale
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming deliveries
  • Ensure product quality and proper display standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department
  • Assist customers with inquiries and product selection

Requirements

  • Knowledge of various cuts of meat is an asset
  • Friendly, customer service oriented and team player
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work in cooler environments as needed 
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Flexible availability, including weekends
  • Second language is an asset

 

Cutter

Description

The meat cutter is responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products while ensuring quality, food safety, and well-presented displays. This role also supports inventory control and assists customers while working in cooler environments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cutting, trimming, and portioning of meat products
  • Pack, wrap, label, and stock meats for sale
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming deliveries
  • Monitor product quality and ensure proper display standards
  • Assist with inventory control and stock rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department
  • Assist customers with inquiries and product selection

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of meat cutting experience required
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Friendly, customer service oriented and team player
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Leadership skills are an asset
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work in cooler environments as needed
  • Flexible availability, including weekends
  • Second language is an asset
